The supporters of former MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion allegedly forced a scrap dealer from the minority community to evict his shop. This enraged the locals and soon it turned into a communal clash. Stones were pelted from both sides. The people also pelted stones at the house of the MLA and burnt 4 of the vehicles. Police force was deployed in the area. 20 people from both sides got injured and 12 police personnel got injured in the clash. The Chief Minister Harish Rawat condemned the communal clash. Police vehicles were also torched in the incident.
