2016-04-17
A communal clash broke out in Jamod village. Hindus on Ram Navmi were distributing prasad and chanting slogans. At the same time a dead body of Muqaddar Khan’s mother was going for funeral. The group told the sloganers not to chant until they pass. This made the other community angry and soon it turned into a communal clash. Stones were pelted on each other. Places of worships from both the sides were vandalized. 9 people got injured including police personnel. Curfew was imposed and phone lines were cut in the area.
