A Hindu woman was kidnapped by her family members while shopping with her Muslim husband. Four men in an SUV came, assaulted the man and took away the wife. The man registered a complaint. Two accused were arrested. The woman was brought in Bombay High Court two months later and was asked if she wanted to stay with her parents in Mangalore or with her husband. The woman chose her husband and the court told them to get their marriage registered.
