Three Muslim Kashmiri students were beaten up in their university by 5 students, and hostel guards. They had a dispute initially with 2 students of the same faith and later on with the guards in the afternoon. The students were beaten in the mess while they were eating in the evening. They had to be hospitalized. While two of them got minor injuries, the third one suffered serious injuries. No complaint was lodged. Police said no communal angle was given to the incident. There was a protest in the college by the Kashmiri students for the poor security of the students.
