A drain was being constructed in Tigari village in Muzaffarnagar. One person requested the drain to be constructed without harming the ramp that is in front of his gate. Another person who lived on the opposite side said that the drain must be constructed without sparing anyone’s ramp. Soon this dispute got heated up. People gathered and it became violent. Stones were pelted from both sides. A gun was fired and one person died while three others got severely injured. Heavy police force were deployed. Police wanted to send the body for postmortem but they faced a lot of resistance from the villagers.
