Communal tension in Neemuch on the eve of Hanuman Jayanti

Communal violence broke out in Neemuch on the eve of Hanuman Jayanti. The Hindus took out the procession on Friday, a day before the Hanuman Jayanti. Loud music was played even during the time of prayers near the mosques. They even shouted provocative slogans which the Muslims objected. In response, a group of Bajrang Dal went wild and violent. The mob torched up the shops, houses and vehicles of the Muslims. Stones were then pelted from both sides. Police tried to control the situation but some police personnels also got injured in the clash. Section 144 was imposed in the Muslim majority area, One of the victims said that it was a well planned attacked. All the planning and gathering was done through WhatsApp. They were armed with petrol and kerosene. The police according to the victim were arresting only the Muslims. They were lenient towards the goons
