A Muslim youth allegedly tried to elope with a Hindu girl. They were on a run. The girl who was studying in Bijnor was traced in Jammu and Kashmir while the boy was untraced. A complaint was filed by the girl’s father of abduction and forced marriage against the boy. A group of armed men had reached the house of the youth’s uncle and they beat the members of the family. They even beat the women in the house. They also ransacked the house. They had left by the time police had arrived. A case was booked against the accused under section 452 of the IPC
