Muslim youth dies of injuries, family alleges police apathy

A Muslim youth, Jahangir, got into a parking dispute in Sahranpur. The other 4 youths disputing against him beat him up. Then they took him to the police station and handed him over. Jahangir was sent for a medical examination and after that he was brought back to the police station. His condition deteriorated after after that and he was sent to the hospital. But he died in the hospital due to late treatment. The family of the victim staged a protest by blocking the road by the dead body refusing to bury him. Then only the police registered a case against the accused, but no arrests were made. The police also had a part in the death of Jahangir. The shops in the market was shut down in a sign of protest against the murder.
