A Muslim youth had a fight near Athavade Bazar in Jalgaon. He fought against a group of Hindus. Tension broke out in the area. The next morning, a Hindu boy was beaten up in the area. This added more fuel to the fire. The people from the two communities clashed and there was a loss of property and destruction of shops in the area. However, police officials took the situation in the control before it got worse. They saved the town from witnessing a communal riot
