Man forced to chant Jai Shri Ram in West Bengal

A man from the minority community was harassed and assaulted by a man named Apsi Miyan. The incident happened in Coochbehar district in West Bengal. The video of the incident went viral. In the video, the man could be seen beating the victim and forcing him to say Jai Shri Ram. Upon refusal to do so, he was made to do sit ups. A local resident later helped the victim to lodge the complaint. However no arrests were made after the complaint. It was only after the video went viral that the police took immediate action and arrested the accused. The political background of the accused had been assumed to be BJP but it had not been confirmed.
