Communal violence over rumour of cow slaughter

Communal violence erupted in Madhubani, Bihar. Some miscreants spread the rumour in the nearby villages that Muslims were slaughtering cattle on the occasion of Shab-e-Baraat and distributing it. The goons from the nearby villages came to Sarahi village and went on the rampage. They set four Muslim houses on fire. People locked themselves in their house out of fear. Around a dozen people got injured and some of them were in critical condition. They were treated in a private clinic in the village. Police force was deployed in the village.
