A scuffle broke out between the members of the two communities. The incident happened in Meerut. The dispute happened over the fencing of a well near a mosque in Teergaraan area. It turned into a communal violence. The BJP leader Vijay Anand tried to prevent it but he was pulled by someone and he received blows on his face. A few people were injured by gunshots as there were firing too. The media personnels were also injured. The mob ransacked a few shops in the market too.
