A communal clash broke out in Kanpur. The Ram Navami procession had to pass. But members of the other community blocked a route by hoarding carts on the road. Stones were pelted from both sides. There were also gun shots fired and hand made bombs lobbed. 8 people got injured. Police resorted to lathi charge to control the situation.
