Palwal district erupts in clashes over beef

A truck was stopped by the local villagers. It was allegedly carrying beef. The driver managed to flee but the co-driver was beaten by the crowd. The police reached the spot. They rescued the driver and were taking him to the police station. The villagers pelted stones on the cops too. Police fired in the air to disperse the crowd. 6 policemen and 4 villagers got injured in the incident. A police force was deployed in the area to keep the situation calm.
