A communal tension broke out after a dispute over a shop. The dispute was between a Hindu and a Muslim man. It got flared up and turned into a communal riot. Stone pelting and gun firing could be seen and heard. People also torched up many places including shops and vehicles. One of the men died in the violence. He was shot. Police booked more than 100 people in the violence including the members of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha. 12 named people were also booked.
