A Muslim man allegedly stole a cow. He was then beaten by the members of Bajrang Dal. 6 members of Bajrang Dal were booked in a case registered against them. The man was beaten brutally and he was paraded. The police reached the spot but they failed to take any action. The 6 men included the name of the District Convener Vivek Premi. The man, Riaz, was arrested under Animal Cruelty Act and charges of theft. He was sent to Muzaffarnagar District Jail. Two of the accused were arrested but they got out of Jail after the Central Government revoked the National Security Act (NSA) against them.
