A Muslim autorickshaw driver was threatened and attacked for picking up a passenger from a Hindu locality in Ghatlodia area, Ahmedabad. The man tried to attack the victim, Qureshi, with an iron rod but he drove off and evaded it. His fare meter got damaged during the incident. Qureshi approached a city-based lawyer Imtiyaz Pathan who helped him meet the police commissioner AK Singh. Police filed section 294(b) and 427 of the IPC against the accused.
