Three Muslims Aamir, Altaf, and Ali had gone to the airport road to take photographs. They were wearing kurta pyjama. Some people surrounded them and shortly there were about 25-30 people. They started beating them and forced to chant Jai Shri Ram. The 3 men fled and took refuge in a military camp. They were rescued by the security personnel of Birsa Munda airport. Later Aamir filed a complaint at the Doranda police station. This incident enraged the city dwellers and there were city wide protests.
