Two groups clash outside mosque

The event took place in front of a mosque. According to the police, the argument started when the mosque's imam attended a gathering of an opposing group. More than a dozen men from either side started fighting and throwing stones and glass bottles at one another. Jamshed, a shop owner in Kabootar Bazar, claimed that the event occurred when he was on his way to the mosque to perform namaz. He observed the two groups clashing. To preserve peace and order, senior police officers visited the area and more cops were sent in. According to DCP (Northeast) Atul Kumar Thakur, multiple FIRs have been filed at the Welcome police station under a number of different sections. Although more are anticipated to be apprehended, five people have already been arrested.
