5-6 men threatened and assaulted a Jamia Milia alumnus on the eve of Independence day. They were playing loud music in front of his house at night. When Daud stepped out to intervene, he saw that someone had urinated on his door. He complained to his landlord and that made the drunk celebrating boys angry and they got violent. Two of them said to him that you are a Muslim, we can kill you and nothing would happen to us. No action was taken by the police. The incident was known after Daud made a video explaining the incident.
